'Blair Witch' Video Game, Based On Film Set In Maryland, Coming In August

LOS ANGELES, Ca, (WJZ) -- A video game inspired by the Maryland-based 1999 film "The Blair Witch Project" is coming soon to the Xbox and PC.

The game, titled "Blair Witch", was announced Sunday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The game is a first-person, psychological horror game based on the cinematic lore of the film.

"Blair Witch" is set to be released August 30.

The original movie was filmed in Maryland, with shots taking place in Montgomery and Frederick counties.
