Ben Carson Wins Southern Republican Straw Poll
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Former Johns Hopkins Neurosurgeon and now 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson wins the Southern Republican Straw Poll.
It's the first major survey of the republican presidential field in the south.
Carson took 25 percent leading the pack of nearly 20 candidates.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker came in second with 20 percent of the vote.
Carson announced his presidential run earlier this month.
