Ben Carson Announces Presidential Run
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson has officially announced he's running for president.
He is expected to run as a Republican candidate, as opposed to an independent one.
Dr. Ben Carson is a famed neurosurgeon but after retiring, he has become known more for his sometimes controversial views. Last year, he said Obamacare was the worst thing to happen to the US since slavery. He has also compared gay marriage to bestiality and pedophilia.
He is a favorite among conservative voters, because of his blunt viewpoints and fiscally conservative stance.
