Chilly mornings, beautiful afternoons are in Maryland's weekend forecast
Another front is ushering in a fresh round of sunshine, low humidity and cooler temperatures across the Great Lakes region on into the Mid-Atlantic and across Maryland. A beautiful weekend is on the way.
A northwesterly breeze continues through the night, as temperatures cool back through the 60s. The First Alert Forecast remains dry.
Fall-like weather for Labor Day weekend in Baltimore
Saturday begins with chilly temperatures across the state; coolest up in the mountains of western Maryland. Mountain valleys could see temperatures dip into the 30s. Much of the state settles into the upper 40s and 50s, before 8 a.m. Saturday. Patchy frost is possible in the coldest spots up in the mountains of western Maryland.
Temperatures warm back into the 70s across central Maryland Saturday afternoon. Humidity remains low, with lots of sunshine and a pleasant breeze. Expect just as much sunshine on Sunday. Low humidity is also in the forecast through the back-half of the weekend. Temperatures peak in the upper 70s and lower 80s Sunday afternoon.
Remember, it is still easy to get a sunburn this time of year. Apply, and reapply, sunscreen.
The mountains may see a stray shower, or two, on Sunday. Even in this area, there won't be much of a weather impact to the weekend.
A greater chance of rain returns to Maryland on Thursday
The forecast remains mostly dry through the middle of next workweek.
By late-week, the next storm system approaches the Mid-Atlantic. Scattered, to numerous, showers are possible. However, there continues to be some uncertainty with the timing and locations of the greatest chance of rain late next Wednesday, into next Thursday. The First Alert Weather Team will continue to fine-tune the forecast. You can catch updates on WJZ, streaming on CBS News Baltimore and in the CBS News App.
Have a wonderful weekend,
