No Suspect Found At Barricade Situation At Hyattsville Check Cashing Store

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Authorities believe an attempted robbery is what kicked off a barricade situation in Prince George's County Monday morning, but police did not find a suspect inside the store.

The call came in to police at about 8:50 a.m., at a store in the 6400 block of Annapolis Rd. in Hyattsville.

Prince George's County police responded, and an employee told police he was assaulted by a suspect.

That employee managed to get out, and told a passerby, who called police. The employee told police he didn't see the suspect leave the store.

Police set up a perimeter around the building, but after entering the store, they cleared the building, and were unable to find the suspect.

No further details have been released at this time, as police continue their investigation.
