Barn Catches Fire In Montgomery County; Nearly 24 pigs Dead
POOLESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Nearly two dozen pigs have been killed in a barn fire in Montgomery County.
The fire broke out Sunday at Spring Valley Farm. Montgomery County firefighters were called to the scene, along with large capacity water tankers because there were no fire hydrants in the area.
Fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says the barn collapsed shortly after crews arrived.
