Band 'Under The Covers' Will Headline Baltimore's NYE Spectacular

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --- More than 50-thousand people will pack the Inner Harbor in just days to ring in the New Year. It's a big party and music is a big part of the fun.

Mary Bubala has the details.

Baltimore is going to treasure this band. The headliner for downtown Baltimore's New Year's Eve Spectacular is Under The Covers, a popular band out of Bel Air, Md. Under The Covers will bring their unique blend of high energy rock covers to the Inner Harbor.

"We play anything from hip hop to rock," drummer John Burkart said. "We play classic rock music ... we play top 40 music.. anything from Pharrell to Guns and Roses."

The band has been jamming since 2006 and they are honored to be playing at the harbor on New Year's Eve.

"The thing that makes a difference is that we are really interactive," lead singer Brian Bourne said. "I tell people, Under The Covers, is like sea world... prepare to sit in the first three rows if you want to get drenched in our wonderful experience... we sometimes like to pull people onto stage as well as get the crowd singing along too and that's when you make a unique interactive experience."

Under The Covers starts playing to the crowd on New Year's Eve at 9 p.m.
