Baltimore Woman, Son Arrested In Husband's Shooting Death

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police have arrested a mother and her teenage son in the shooting death of her husband.

Police say 37-year-old Tamara Harvey and 17-year-old Cameron Barnes are charged with murder and assault in Saturday's shooting death of 40-year old Josphat Kobia. Kobia was Harvey's husband and Barnes' stepfather.

Charging documents say that Barnes confessed to shooting Kobia in the head after his stepfather confronted him about not cleaning his room and began pushing him. Police say Barnes was arrested after he fled and disposed of the gun, which belonged to Kobia.

Police say Harvey was charged after giving police inconsistent statements.

Police say there was a history of domestic abuse in the household, which included four children.

No attorneys are listed for Harvey or Barnes in online court records.
