Baltimore Seeking Proposals For Bike Share Program

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The city of Baltimore wants to start a bike share program.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Baltimore City Department of Transportation Director William Johnson will announce Tuesday that the city is seeking proposals from businesses or vendors interested in being considered to manage, operate, and maintain a bike share program.

The announcement is being held at City Hall.

Nearby Washington has had a bike share program since 2008.
