Baltimore Republican Mayoral Candidate Announces Cancer Diagnosis

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Alan Walden, the Republican candidate for mayor, has announced that he has been diagnosed with bladder cancer.

According to our media partner, the Baltimore Sun, Walden will undergo surgery next week at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

The Sun says that Walden expects to take four weeks to recover and then will resume his mayoral bid.
