Baltimore Pools Extend Hours In Response To Heat

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City Recreation and Parks has announced that Baltimore City pools will operate on an adjusted schedule due to the heat.

Normal swim sessions are suspended and pools will operate with two-hour open swim sessions with a 30-minute intermission.

Neighborhood/Walk-to pools will remain open an additional two hours and park pools will remain an additional 90 minutes.

Admission to Baltimore City park pools is $2 per two-hour session and $1 per two-hour session for neighborhood walk-to pools.

Hours for the pools are as follows:

NEIGHBORHOOD/WALK-TO POOLS ($1 per session, capacity is 100 swimmers per session)
. Noon - 2 p.m.
. 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
. 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

PARK POOLS ($2 per session, capacity is 300 swimmers per session)
. Noon - 2 p.m.
. 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
. 5:00 - 7 p.m.
. 7:30 - 9 p.m.
**Program schedules at Patterson and Lake Clifton Park Pools will remain the same
