Baltimore Police Arrest Man Who They Say Murdered Infant Son

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore Police have arrested a man who they say killed his infant son on Monday.

Officers were called to an apartment in the 5600 block of Sinclair Lane at around 10:20 that morning.

They found Darrow Coady, a 8-month-old baby boy, unconscious and being treated by members of the Baltimore City Fire Department.

The infant was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and began an investigation.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday, and the death was ruled a homicide by blunt force trauma.

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for the infant's father, 22-year old Darrow Keith Coady, charging him with second degree murder.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Northwest district received a tip that Coady was at the Mondawmin Metro station.

With the assistance of Western District officers, they located Coady there and he was arrested without incident.
