Baltimore Officer Gets 2 Years Probation For Spitting On Suspect
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore police officer, who was caught on video spitting on a handcuffed suspect, is found guilty of second-degree assault and misconduct.
It was last October when 34-year-old Sergeant Robert Messner spit on suspect Alfred Evans.
The mayor asked for his resignation.
He did not resign, but he will serve two years supervised probation, a fine, anger management and 200 hours community service.
He will also be reassigned.
