1 Dead, Another Hurt After Double Shooting And Crash In E. Baltimore
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- One person is killed, another person is injured after a double shooting and car crash in East Baltimore.
Rick Ritter investigates what may have led to the incident.
Crime scene tape and three cars mangled--the aftermath of a shooting that left at least one person dead.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Orleans Street, just outside Dunbar High School.
Police found two people suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a white pickup truck.
One was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. The other victim's condition is unknown.
"Officers respond for a report of an accident. When they get there, they discover two individuals got shot. I can tell you, right now, upon looking into the vehicle, we did find weapons inside the vehicle. We don't know right now how they relate to this particular incident, but we do have weapons that were inside that vehicle."
Police are still searching for the original crime scene. Detectives are canvassing the area and trying to speak with witnesses.
The drivers of the other two vehicles involved in the collision were not injured.
