Baltimore McDonald's Raises Money For Local Schools

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Members of Baltimore City schools and communities gathered at 16 Baltimore City McDonald's restaurants on Tuesday for a dinner celebration while earning a portion of all sales.

The McDonald's Family Restaurants of Baltimore matched the amount raised and has pledged to donate $9,000 to support education excellence and innovation in Baltimore City schools.

"The McDonald's Family Restaurant of Greater Baltimore takes our commitment to supporting education and the community incredibly seriously, and we are thrilled to continuously do so with this Baltimore city-wide event," said Scott Rardin, Baltimore's McDonald's Owner & Operator.

The 135 Greater Baltimore area McDonald's restaurants have worked closely with their community schools and donates over $75,000 annually for scholastic fundraising efforts.
