Baltimore Mayor To Focus Annual Speech On Small Businesses

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is set to deliver her annual State of the City speech.

Rawlings-Blake is scheduled to give the speech Monday, outlining some of her priorities and initiatives to the City Council. The mayor is expected to focus on her administration's support for small businesses as a priority for growing Baltimore's economy.

WJZ media partner The Baltimore Sun reports Rawlings-Blake plans to propose an "innovation fund" to help small businesses acquire the latest technologies. Her plan also calls for doubling funding for the Small Business Resource Center.
