Baltimore Mayor To Announce Gun Tip Line

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is planning to announce a new illegal gun tip line.

Rawlings-Blake on Tuesday will announce the launch of a year-long pilot program that's designed to increase the number of anonymous tips leading authorities to illegal firearms.

Those who call the hotline will receive $500 per tip that leads authorities to an illegal gun, and $500 per felony gun arrest.
