Baltimore Mayor Honors Henrietta Lacks
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will honor the memory of Henrietta Lacks, whose cells continue to have an impact on medicine 65 years after they were taken during a medical procedure, in a lecture for Women's History Month.
Rawlings-Blake will participate in a presentation geared toward discussing ethics, race and medicine.
The discussion will take place on Friday at noon at City Hall.
