Baltimore Man Sentenced To 130 Months For Heroin Distribution
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)-- A Baltimore man was sentenced to more than 10 years behind bars on Tuesday for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin.
Authorities say that from July through November 2012, Davon Taylor, 25, of Baltimore, conspired with Shawn Jackson, 25, and others, to obtain and distribute heroin in and around Park Heights and Belvedere neighbors of Baltimore.
During this time, authorities say Taylor operated a street level drug distribution shop, dispensing whole sale quantities of heroin to customers, some who traveled from Pennsylvania.
In September of 2012, authorities say a court-ordered wiretap assisted in Taylor's capture.
As a result of the investigation, it was learned that Taylor was responsible for distributing between one and three kilograms of heroin.
Taylor was sentenced to 130 months behinds bars followed by three years of supervised release, authorities said.
Shawn Jackson, 25, of Baltimore, previously pleaded guilty to his role in the conspiracy and was sentenced to five years in prison.
