Baltimore Man Convicted of Beating Woman to Death

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore man has been convicted of beating a woman to death and setting her house on fire.

The State's Attorney's Office said in a news release Thursday that 51-year-old Michael Hauck was convicted this week of first-degree murder and arson.

Prosecutors say the body of 52-year-old Patricia Tracey was found after a fire in her home in October 2014. Authorities say she had been beaten to death several days before the fire.

Prosecutors say Hauck had lived with Tracey in the home. Investigators say neighbors last saw Tracey having a violent argument with Hauck on the front porch six days before her body was found.

Hauck faces a sentence of life in prison.
