Baltimore County Water Main Break Disrupts Residents' Drinking Water

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--  Water has been restored for over a hundred families in eastern Baltimore County. Homes in Chase were affected by a 16-inch water main break at 12426 Eastern Avenue that started on December 31.

Many of the families were without water for more than 24 hours.

To help the area families, firefighters at Fire Station 54 bagged up water for area homes while the Department of Public Works were working to fix the issue.

Officials tell WJZ at least 150 homes were impacted. Residents were also allowed to bring additional containers to get water from the fire station.

Water was restored to residents later Monday evening.
