96-Year-Old Woman Found Dead By Caretaker In Lochearn, Police Investigating

BALTIMORE (WJZ) —  A 96-year-old woman was found dead by her caretaker inside her home Wednesday morning, Baltimore County police said.

Police responded to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of Fox Meadow Road in Lochearn just west of the city/county line. They found her dead inside with trauma to her upper body.

She is identified as Evelyn Bailey. Detectives are waiting for the autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Chopper 13 was over the scene and showed a home in the area roped off by police tape and several police cars parked in the street.

"Once the caregiver arrived, she was setting up to take care of the homeowner, and she went and discovered the woman was deceased," Baltimore County police said. "She immediately went outside, screaming frantically, asking for someone to call 911."

Neighbors told WJZ several cameras point directly at the house.

Neighbor Alisa Stuckey said Bailey was bedridden and that her husband has been in the hospital for some time.

Homicide detectives called the death "suspicious."

"I hope whoever did it, or whatever happened, I do hope they find them," Stuckey said.

Police are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for anyone with information.
