Baltimore County Police Investigating Skeletal Remains

TOWSON, Md. (AP/WJZ) -- Baltimore County police are investigating skeletal remains that were found in a wooded area.

Police say police responded at about 10 a.m. on Sunday to a thicket near Route 702 between Eastern Avenue and Old Eastern Avenue in Essex for a report of a body in the woods. When officers arrived they discovered a skeleton.

Police say the remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification. Police say the incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County homicide unit.
