Police: 11-Year-Old Struck In Head, Possibly Shot, While Walking Home In Windsor Mill
WINDSOR MILL, Md. (WJZ) -- An 11-year-old girl was injured in Windsor Mill on Friday night after she was struck in the head with an unknown object or possibly shot, according to Baltimore County Police.
"She was struck in the head with an unknown object. She may have possibly suffered a gunshot wound to the head." Baltimore County Police Detective Robert Reason said.

The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. at The Glens at Diamond Ridge when the child was walking home from an unknown location, according to police.
Police said when the child arrived home, she told her mom and was taken to the hospital. She was conscious and alert when speaking.
"When she spoke to her mother at the time she was conscious she was breathing," Reason said.
No suspects at the moment. Police say they are unaware of where it happened or when it happened but the call came in around 7:03pm. They are still investigating. Asking if anyone saw anything or heard anything to come forward. @wjz

Police searched the neighborhood for clues, but said as of right now, there's no suspect or record of any gunshots.
Police initially tweeted that the incident was a shooting.

"I myself made a call to communication center to check to see if any shots were called around the time this occurred and there have been none that we know of right now," Reason said.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them immediately.
