Man Fatally Shot In Dundalk Wednesday Night

DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Dundalk on Wednesday night.

Police were called to the 400 block of Avondale Road around 8 p.m. for a reported shooting.

They found a 27-year-old man lying in an alley behind the location. He suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body and was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the location before police got there.

Police said initially said the victim is critically injured, but he later died.

He was identified as Gerrard Eugene Taylor.

Police are asking anyone who saw or heard anything Wednesday night, or who may have information regarding this shooting or the suspect, to contact Homicide detectives by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
