Baltimore County Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting involving an off-duty Baltimore City officer.

According to police, they were called to the 3400 block of Red Rose Farm Road for a shooting.

Police say an off-duty Baltimore City officer was driving when one of two intoxicated pedestrians somehow damaged his car's mirror.

The officer stopped to speak with the two men and says they attacked him. He told police that he retrieved his taser and deployed it in self-defense. When the taser didn't stop the men, he pulled out his gun and shot one of the men.

The injured suspect was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The second man was interviewed by police and released.

The officer suffered minor injuries.
