Baltimore County Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting In Pikesville

PIKESVILLE, Md. (WJZ)-- Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating an early morning shooting that happened just before 5 a.m. at a home on Stirrup Court in Pikesville.
Investigators believe that the incident began as a home invasion robbery. Several suspects entered the home and confronted the victim at gunpoint.
During the robbery, the victim -- a 22-year-old man -- suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
Investigators believe that the victim of this incident was targeted.
