Baltimore County Del. Joseph J. "Sonny" Minnick Dead At 82

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Del. Joseph J. "Sonny" Minnick has died.

House Speaker Michael Busch said in a statement Tuesday that Minnick, who was 82, was a favorite among his colleagues in the Maryland House of Delegates.

Minnick died Monday in a hospice.

Minnick was a Democrat who represented District 6. He was the owner of the popular restaurant Minnick's in Dundalk.

The Minnick family has scheduled viewings for Wednesday and Thursday at Connelly Funeral Home. Mass has been scheduled for Friday at Our Lady of Hope Church in Dundalk.
