Baltimore County Breaking Ground On A New Homeless Shelter

ROSEDALE, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County is breaking ground on a new homeless shelter that will replace another outdated facility in the county.

Officials will break ground Monday on a replacement for the county's Eastern Family Resource Center. Officials say the current building houses a shelter for women and families as well as programs operated through the Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services.

The new, $26 million, 80,000-square-foot facility will add a transitional shelter and a men's shelter and provide space for Healthcare for the Homeless.

The new facility will be located in Rosedale.
