Baltimore Cop Suspended For Alleged 'Sexting' With Teen Boy

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Baltimore City Police officer is suspended without pay after being accused of "sexting" with a Pennsylvania teenager.

Timothy Rae George III, 22, has been on the force for two years and was assigned to the narcotics enforcement division, BPD spokesman T.J. Smith says.

George is charged with disseminating explicit sexual materials to a minor, sexual abuse of a child and unlawful contact with a minor, all felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of corruption of a minor.

According to charging documents, George met a Spring Grove-area 15-year-old boy through Facebook in August, and the two began communicating online and via phone.

The boy sent photos to George, as well as a video of himself masturbating, and the two talked about getting married, court documents say.

It was the boy's father who learned of the situation alerted police to the matter.

A preliminary court hearing for George is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 16.

George is free on bond.
