Authorities: Man Shoots 3 After Being Told To Be Quiet

ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a Delaware man shot three people who asked him to lower his voice as they watched television at a home in Maryland.

Cecil County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Michael Holmes says the shooting happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 100 block of E. Village Road in Elkton.

Holmes says three 21-year-old victims told deputies that they were watching television when another man "brandished a handgun and began shooting" after "being told to lower his voice." Holmes said authorities are "still investigating the motive associated with the shooting."

Authorities identified the suspect as 25-year-old Tyree Naquand Pollard. Pollard is being held in Delaware pending extradition to Maryland.

Attempts to reach Pollard or his family by telephone for comment were unsuccessful.
