2 Officers Injured After Being Struck By Vehicles Fleeing Police In Dundalk

DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) -- Two officers were injured in Baltimore County after being struck by vehicles fleeing police. It happened on Thursday near Manchester and Aldsworth Street in Dundalk.

Police say the incident started as a narcotics investigation. Detectives saw an apparent drug transaction between someone in a white car and someone in a gray Honda.

The white car fled the scene, striking an unmarked police vehicle, then a detective that was standing next to the vehicle. That suspect was later arrested on an unrelated charge.

The Honda struck a curb as it was attempting to flee the scene. The driver exited the vehicle and later got into a dark colored vehicle driven by a woman.

The dark colored vehicle then struck a detective on foot attempting to stop the vehicle.

Officers later took both the driver of the Honda and the woman into custody.

The officer struck by the white vehicle was taken to Shock Trauma for non-life threatening injuries.

The officer struck by the dark colored vehicle only sustained minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
