Arena Stage Hosts Dinner, Performance For Veterans
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Arena Stage is hosting a special Thanksgiving dinner for wounded warriors, active service members and their families.
The theater company is hosting a complimentary dinner for veterans and service members Friday evening, followed by a performance of the new production of "Fiddler on the Roof." This is the theater's fourth annual military Thanksgiving dinner and performance.
About 200 service members and their families are expected to attend. Arena Stage worked primarily with the United Service Organizations in the Washington area to distribute tickets to service members and veterans.
Rear Adm. Markham Rich, the commandant of the Naval District Washington, is the featured speaker at the Thanksgiving celebration.
