April Trial For Man Accused Of 3 Shooting Deaths in MD

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — An April trial has been scheduled for a man charged with fatally shooting his estranged wife and two other people during a rampage in a Maryland suburb of the nation's capital.

The Washington Post reports an April 3 trial is set for 62-year-old Eulalio Tordil. He has pleaded not guilty to charges including first-degree murder. He didn't speak at Friday's scheduling hearing in Rockville. The trial was previously set for November.

Authorities say Tordil, who worked as a federal security officer, killed his estranged wife Gladys on May 5 in the parking lot of a high school where she taught chemistry. They allege that two more fatal shootings followed the next day during apparent carjacking attempts, one outside a Bethesda shopping mall and another at a nearby shopping center.
