Police: 2 Killed In Brooklyn Park

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Anne Arundel County police confirmed two people were killed in what police believe to be a shooting in the 5100 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park Wednesday.

Officers say a man and a woman were found around 4:45 p.m in a vehicle that crashed into a garage.

Nearby neighbors who heard the commotion described it playing out in the neighborhood.

"It was loud. My roommate said they were just fire crackers, but it sounded like a gun," one neighbor said.

Investigators have been going door to door speaking with neighbors in the hopes that they may have seen something.

"A lot of houses around here have their own private security cameras, so we're going to reach out to any of the neighbors to see if they might have captured any type of image," said Lt. Ryan Frashure of the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Authorities are hopeful their close relationship with the community will lead to some much needed answers.

Police have not identified the victims yet. Their bodies have been taken to the medical examiners office for autopsies.
