Anne Arundel Police Looking for Information in Death of Baltimore Man
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County Police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that could lead them to find the murderer of a man in Arundel Village Park one year ago.
Michael John Compton, 21, died from gunshot wounds after police were called to Arundel Village park in Brooklyn last year. On September 18, 2015, just after 1 a.m. police say they found the victim lying on the path in the park suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Compton was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital, but later died from his injuries.
Detectives from the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit worked with the Evidence Collection Unit searching the crime scene for evidence and located several witnesses, but are yet to identify the shooter.
Anne Arundel County Homicide Detectives are still actively pursuing any and all leads that have been received. Police say they are hoping that now a year since the incident, witnesses may be in a different situation and be more likely to discuss what happened that night.
