Anne Arundel County Schools Superintendent Recommends $1.36 Billion FY 2021 Operating Budget

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- The superintendent of Anne Arundel County Public Schools is asking for more than $1 billion to add more teaching positions, pay teachers more and cut class sizes.

This is all for the budget for the next fiscal year.

The recommendation also includes 20 teaching assistants and permanent substitute positions.

The county is educating about 1,700 more students this year than last, the greatest year-to-year spike in about three decades.
