Man Critically Injured In Overnight Shooting In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man was critically injured in a shooting in Glen Burnie overnight, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said.

Just before midnight, officers responded to a reported shooting on Crain Highway at Main Avenue. When they got to the scene, police said the officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim reportedly told officers he was walking north when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and that's when the suspect shot him, police said.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and are searching for the suspect. The man was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
