4 Major Water Rescues In Maryland On Saturday
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Rescue crews in Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties worked to save 10 people in four separate incidents on local waterways Saturday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region were notified at about 3:20 p.m. by Anne Arundel County 911 that two kayakers had fallen into the water near Horn Point and that the harbormaster had found and rescued one of them.

A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Annapolis launched to search for the missing kayaker.

Also searching were crews with the Maryland Natural Resource Police, Anne Arundel County Fire, Maryland State Police and Horn Point Harbor Marina.

Neither of the kayakers was wearing a life jacket.
NRP said the weather was not the cause. A strong line of storms moved through the area just after the incident.
In Baltimore County, firefighters said severe weather did cause six kayakers to get stuck in the water in the Middle River area. They were all successfully rescued a short time later.

Around 10 a.m. Saturday, a boat technician went missing in Curtis Bay. Natural Resources Police said the 43-year-old man from Glen Burnie was testing a boat he was repairing when he disappeared.
The vessel was later found without the man inside.
In a fourth incident, police are looking for a possible missing person in the Patapsco River on Riviera Beach.
At around 5:30 pm an NRP officer heading to assist with the search in Curtis Bay was flagged down by a passing boater who reported a debris field in the waters of the Patapsco River between Stoney and Rock Creeks.
Among the recovered debris was a wallet.
Investigators have been unable to confirm the whereabouts of the subject whose identification was in the wallet, but have confirmed that the subject intended to be out on the water earlier in the day. The investigation is ongoing.
