Police: 1 Person Killed, Another Injured After Double Shooting In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- One person was killed and another person was injured after a double shooting in Anne Arundel County on Saturday.

Police said officers responded to a home on Poplar Avenue and Broadway Boulevard in Glen Burnie just before 4:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found two victims.

One of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene and the other was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Neighbors told WJZ that the shooting happened in a seemingly quiet neighborhood.

"This is the first thing I can remember happening here since, never, really," resident Darryl Rock said.

Police have not yet identified the people involved or released any information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Police are looking for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to contact them through the Anne Arundel County Police tipline.
