17-Year-Old Shot In Annapolis Near Scene Of Fatal Shooting Of 14-Year-Old; Unclear If Shootings Are Connected

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A 17-year-old was shot in Annapolis Tuesday in the same area where a 14-year-old boy was fatally shot the day before.

Police said the 17-year-old was shot around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Bowman Drive. The teen, who was shot in the lower extremity, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Less than 24 hours before the 17-year-old was shot, a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday night in the 1800 block of Bowman Court.

Police have not said if the shootings are connected. They're asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them immediately.
