Animal Control Rescues Nearly Three Dozen Cats From Baltimore Shelter

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Baltimore City Animal Control rescued nearly three dozen cats from a local animal shelter.

Animal Control received numerous complaints about Charm City Animal Rescue on Hudson Street in Southeast Baltimore.

On Wednesday, they executed a search warrant at the property.

Inside they found unsanitary conditions, including a strong smell of animal waste, unclean litter boxes and more than a dozen sick cats.

Officers say the sick cats were being kept in the same cages as the healthy cats.

In all, 35 cats were rescued.
