Animal Control Rescues Baby Raccoon In Joppa

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- A baby raccoon abandoned by his mother is getting a new home after his rescue by Harford County Animal Control.

Neighbors called animal control Thursday after the cries of the raccoon, dubbed Bandit, went unanswered for three days and his mother was nowhere to be found, according to a post on the Sheriff's Office's Facebook page.

But after nursing a bottle at the Humane Society, his crying stopped.

Staffers at Susquehannock Wildlife Society and Wildlife Rescue Inc. will now look after Bandit until he's strong enough to survive on his own.
