American University No Longer On Lockdown After Reports Of 'Armed Intruder'
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJZ) -- American University in Washington D.C. is no longer on lockdown after reports of an "armed intruder" near campus.
Around 1 p.m. officials told WUSA9 that a man was spotted in the 3300 block of New Mexico Avenue NW, where he reportedly showed a handgun.
The school was placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution, but the all clear was later given on campus.
