Alejandro De Aza To The Red Sox

The Baltimore Orioles have traded outfielder Alejandro De Aza to the Boston Red Sox Wednesday, according to Ken Rosenthal.

Reports claim the Orioles will get cash considerations in return.

De Aza was designated for assignment a week ago when the Orioles recalled INF Ryan Flaherty from the disabled list.

De Aza (31) hit just .214 in 30 games with the Orioles after batting .293 in 20 games with Baltimore in 2014.

In eight MLB seasons, De Aza has played for the White Sox, Marlins and Orioles. He has a career .265 average, .328 OBP, .401 slugging percentage .728 OPS.
