Former Redskins Defensive Tackle Albert Haynesworth Seeking Kidney Donor

WASHINGTON (WJZ) -- Former Washington Redskins star Albert Haynesworth sent out an emotional plea on Wednesday night.

The former pro bowl defensive tackle posted on Instagram that he's asking for a precious gift, a kidney transplant.

In the post, Haynesworth said that he's suffering from kidney failure and that he's in dire need of a donor for a kidney transplant.

The 38-year-old played in the NFL for 10 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and Washington Redskins.

In his career, Haynesworth registered 347 tackles and 30.5 sacks. He was elected to the pro bowl twice in his time in the NFL.

Haynesworth played college ball at the University of Tennessee.
