Four Baltimore Polling Locations To Stay Open Later After Opening Late Tuesday Morning

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Four Baltimore City polling locations will remain open an hour late, until 9 p.m., after they opened at least 45 minutes late Tuesday morning, WJZ has learned.

They are: John Eager Howard Elementary School, Beth-Am Synagogue, Oliver Multi-Purpose Center and Pimlico Elementary School.

Earlier in the day, lawyer Billy Murphy filed a court order on behalf of the Donna Edwards campaign to get the late-opening locations to remain open longer Tuesday evening, according to a Baltimore Sun report.

Rep. Edwards is among the candidates vying for the Maryland Senate seat that will be vacated by retiring Democratic Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski.

Maryland's polling locations were scheduled to open at 7 a.m. and are set to close at 8 p.m.
