BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A little more than a month ago, Adam Jones announced on Twitter that his beloved post-home game pie smash tradition had to be discontinued for safety reasons.

But following a walk-off single by Matt Wieters that gave the Orioles a 3-2 win over the Twins at the home opener, Jones surprised the masses and delivered an orange dessert to the catcher's face.
Word is... it was cake. Not pie.
