Adam Jones Celebrates Milestone Of 1,500 Hits

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Last night, Adam Jones went 3-for-3 and capped a perfect night of baseball with a tie-breaking two-run homer in the seventh inning. That hit helped the Baltimore Orioles to a 6-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Jones finished with a single, double, the homer and a walk, reaching base in all four plate appearances last night. Within those at bats, Adam Jones collected his 1,500 hit.

The five-time MLB All-Star and four-time Gold Glove Award winner also hit his 224th career home run as an Oriole earlier this season, passing Rafael Palmeiro.
