Accident Shuts Down Beltway Near Frederick Road

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- An accident on the Beltway causes major traffic problems near Frederick Road and Wilkens Avenue.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. where the Inner Loop passes through Catonsville.

Five vehicle were involved.

Three lanes of the Inner Loop have reopened. The right lane and the shoulder remain closed at this time.

Backups stretch all the way to I-95.
